Terms of Service

Last updated: 5/5/2026

Acceptance

By using SafeLayer, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

What SafeLayer is

SafeLayer is a defensive security tool that helps users identify potentially risky AI websites, detect possible API key exposure, and manage security decisions. It is not a certified cybersecurity product and does not guarantee protection against all threats.

Permitted use

SafeLayer is for personal and business security monitoring. You may not use SafeLayer to attack, exploit, or harm others, to circumvent security controls, or for any illegal purpose.

Accuracy and limitations

Security warnings are contextual guidance, not guarantees. SafeLayer's risk scoring is rule-based and may produce false positives. Always apply your own judgment.

Vault and key storage

Keys stored in SafeLayer Vault are encrypted before storage. SafeLayer provides reasonable security but cannot guarantee against all forms of compromise. You are responsible for the security of your own credentials.

Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed through Stripe. You may cancel at any time. Refunds are handled case by case — contact support@safelayer.app.

Limitation of liability

SafeLayer is provided as-is. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the service, including but not limited to security incidents, data loss, or financial losses.
